STIWA Blue Award will be awarded for the second time. The award goes to a European hotel which is a pioneer in terms of sustainable architecture and operational management in the hotel sector.

A special focus will be on the following three criteria: Ecology (use of environmetal technology and reduction of resources, use of local resources), Economy (Reduction of operational costs and use of innovative technologies) and Social Responsibility (Preservation/ employment creation and personnel development/ motivation).

STIWA Blue Award will be awarded to an innovative existing hotel, that lives sustainability and functions as a best practice example in the hotel industry.
