Online application for the Hotel Property Award 2017
Please read the following instructions carefully before starting the application process in order to prepare the data requested below. Please have all necessary documents at hand before starting the process.
Once you have entered your personal information and your e-mail address in the application form (all boxes marked with * in the Google form), you may submit the form, even if some information is still missing. Once you have submitted the form, a link will be sent to your e-mail address which will allow you to continue completing the form and to add additional information that is relevant to the application process.
The submission deadline for the completed application form to hotelforum is Monday, 17 July 2017. It will take you about 45 minutes to complete the entire form and paste a link to any additional data to be uploaded (e.g. photographs, plans, etc.)

Eligible hotels and selection process
One or more hotels may be submitted, up to a maximum of two per company. Applications are welcome from all new European hotels which were constructed and opened between January 2016 and June 2017. The three finalists and the winner will be selected in the following four steps:
1. Application process (in German or English)
2. Visits to the properties by members of the jury
3. Nomination by the jury
4. Jury decision and award ceremony
The application process
Any company related to the hotel project may participate and submit the application. However, the applicant must obtain all necessary permissions from the other firms involved in the realisation of the hotel project. All requested material needs to be submitted to hotelforum by 17 July 2017 at the latest, this being the deadline for the application process. Each hotel can only participate in the competition once, and no hotel can apply two years in a row.
The nomination by the jury
The jury will select up to three finalists from among the completed applications that have been submitted. The criteria for the assessment include the originality of the concept, technical and architectural quality, interior design, integration within the hotel surroundings, the range of services offered, sustainability and profitability.
The jury will normally meet at the beginning of September of the respective year. All applicants will then be informed immediately of the jury’s decision. Additional information material may be needed for the presentation of the nominated hotels during the hotelforum event on 6 October 2017 (e.g. additional photographs and/or short project description). All details will be communicated to the finalists after the jury has reached its decision. Participating hotels selected by the jury may be showcased in the exhibition area during the hotelforum event, and the finalists will also be presented in a film produced by hotelforum.
The award ceremony
The Hotel Property Award 2017 will be presented on 6 October 2017 during the hotelforum gala evening organised at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. An official representative of each hotel applicant that has been nominated should attend the ceremony in order to accept the award should the hotel be selected for the award. The two other finalists will also receive an award during the event, and will be showcased within the exhibition area.
The information that is provided in all boxes on the form must be complete. Boxes marked with * are mandatory fields that are required in order to start the application process. Once you have submitted the form, you will automatically receive an e-mail containing a copy of your application form which you may alter or complete up until the submission deadline.
